We’re proud to share that VetScript was recently featured on Channel 7 News, highlighting the growing shift toward digital prescribing in veterinary practices.
For many in the profession, it was a moment of recognition — and a sign that real change is underway.
“There are so many steps that aren’t necessary. This would be a game-changer for busy practices.”
— Dr Jane Miller, Veterinarian
The story featured two voices close to the VetScript community: Dr Jane Miller, a practising vet with over 15 years of clinical experience, and The Hon. Jaala Pulford, a long-time advocate for innovation and integrity in animal care.
About Dr Jane Miller
Dr Jane is a small animal veterinarian at Newtown Veterinary Clinic in Geelong. Known for her warmth, surgical skill and deep compassion for both pets and people, Jane has become a trusted voice in the profession.
She actively supports pet parents through her contribution of veterinary advice and science-backed resources, including best-practice articles designed to help them make informed decisions about their pets’ health.
About The Hon. Jaala Pulford
Jaala Pulford is a board chair, non-executive director and public policy leader who brings decades of experience across agriculture, veterinary policy, and digital transformation.
During her time in the Victorian Government, Jaala was the first woman to serve as Victoria’s Minister for Agriculture, where she led landmark reforms around puppy farming, livestock traceability, and digital farming strategies.
She now serves as Chair of VetScript’s Industry Advisory Group and brings strategic insight to the platform’s development and rollout.
Why This Matters
From prescription printing to postage delays, today’s manual script workflows create pressure points for practices — and missed care opportunities for pets.
This feature casts a national spotlight on what vets have known for years: it’s time for a smarter way.
VetScript exists to meet that need — building secure, compliant, and integrated e-scripts into the systems practices already use.
But this moment isn’t just about technology. It’s about the people behind it — and the growing community of vets, nurses and practice managers moving prescribing forward together.
At VetScript, we’re working hard to drive regulatory change and reduce the admin burden on the veterinary profession.
Get behind this change by voting for e-scripts, and help make smarter, faster prescribing the new normal.
We’re grateful to share this moment with the veterinary community leading the way.
